The Fast-Forward 2026 conference, dedicated to the future of business leadership in Armenia, took place in Yerevan on April 6, 2026. Wilco Wealth Management was one of the conference’s partners. David Gasparyan, Chief Client Relationship Manager at Wilco, joined the panel discussion “Succession in Armenian Business: The Desired and the Real,” alongside Edgar Avetisyan (CEO, PROFAL), Sanasar Beglaryan (CEO, Flash Company), and Varuzhan Avetikyan (Chairman of the Board, Evocabank; Managing Partner, Andersen in Armenia).
Banks.am published a recap of the panel, moderated by Ara Tadevosyan of Mediamax, which brought together business leaders and advisors to discuss the practical and cultural challenges of passing Armenian businesses on to the next generation.
David spoke about the cultural taboo often surrounding conversations about capital and inheritance in Armenia, and how Wilco works with founders to involve heirs early in capital decisions. He also emphasized that succession should pass on critical thinking and decision-making approaches, not just experience, and highlighted the importance of introducing successors to business partners and ongoing relationships early in the transition process.
